DISCS:
In case you hadn't noticed, ultimate discs can be hard to come by. Ultimate
uses 175 gram discs, which are not usually stocked by stores in Australia.
However, you can purchase University of Newcastle discs. These are available
from the Sports Union's Squash Pavilion (next to Oval #1) for $16.50. They have
both white and glow-in-the-dark discs.
AFDA:
The Australian Flying Disc Association (AFDA) are the national governing
body for ultimate. Many tournaments are AFDA sanctioned and are covered by their
sports insurance. To play in these tournaments, you must be an AFDA
member.
All NUdiscs club members are automatically AFDA members (worth up to $40!) The AFDA members database is available on-line. To check or alter your AFDA details, just visit http://www.afda.com/members.
