Disc Golf

Home About the Club News & Events AUC 2001 Social League Disc Golf

What is it?

Disc Golf is similar to normal golf in that you have a course with tees, compulsory obstacles and pins. The course is smaller (not many people can throw a disc as far as hitting a golf ball), but just as challenging. (Description from the VFDA web site)

Where & When can I play?

There is currently an 9-hole course at Jesmond Park (west of the oval) on Newcastle Road. Click here for a map.

You can play at any time, but you will normally find a group tee-ing off at 2pm most Fridays. Just bring along an ultimate disc (preferably one that you don't mind getting roughed up by hitting a few trees). A round through the 9 holes takes about 90 minutes.

The Course

Click here for a description of each hole, including photos. A map will be added in the future.

Score Card

Click here for the score card.

Place a cross in the 'Alt?' box if you need to use the alternative hole 8 because there are kids on the spiders web.

Guide Book

A guide book is now available, including descriptions and photos or each hole, and a copy of the score card. Click here for the booklet.

To print the book, print page 2 on the back of page 1, and page 4 on the back of page 3. Then fold your pages in half to make the booklet.
