The AGM was held tonight. A big thankyou for everyone who attended. The executive committee for 2000-2001 was elected. They are:

President: Andrew Pennington
Vice-President: James O'Reily
Secretary: Andrew Olennick
Treasurer: Sturt Wilson
Social Secretary: Jonathon Holmes

Also, a big thankyou to the outgoing members of the executive committee: Matthew Kelly, Kate Leys, Trudi Wilson, and Cindy Carroll.

Don't forget the upcoming Annual General Meeting (see Sturt's email below)

Hi guys,
        This is an important email for all members, as it concerns the AGM. Because a lot of people have said they they can't come on friday, the AGM has been CHANGED TO THURSDAY NIGHT (26TH OCTOBER) FROM 6.30 PM AT THE HARRY BRADFORD LOUNGE (squash pavillion). So all those people who said that they couldn't come, now can. It is very important that everybody comes so that we get our quorum. Besides there will be food like pizza and drinks hopefully like beer, wine and soft drink. This free for all members. 
    Also, another very important matter is the nomination for executive positions need to be in very soon - preferably by wednesday. All you need to do is fill out the form on the back of the letter that everybody was sent and return it to either myself or matt. The positions are president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and social coordinator. It is vital for the club that people go for these positions because the president, vice president, social coordinator and secretary are leaving next year so we need as many people as posible to go for these position.
    They are not hard or time consuming jobs, all you need is a lot of enthusiasm for frisbee, your skill level doesn't matter.  Probably only 3 or 4 hours a month, which every one can spare.
It would be good if first or second year people went for some of these positions because they will be around for a while. But like I said, anyone who is a member can go for a position. Nominations may also be taken on the night, before we have the elections. It is essential for the future of the club that we have people fill these positions.

The Annual General Meeting is fast approaching. It will be held at the Ray Watt Pavilion from 6pm on Friday, 27th October. Nominations for all executive positions are open. For more details, see the notice here.

Also, a reminder about the Beach IV Tournament. It will be on Sunday, 22nd October, at Maroubra beach (Sydney). Contact Matt ASAP if you are interested.

Yes, the rain has held off enough for frisbee to resume tonight! 8pm-10pm, on Oval #2 (next to The Forum). Bring your friends!

Welcome back from holidays. The first of the season's IVs (i.e. frisbee tournament for University students) has just been announced. It's a beach tournament organised by UNSW:

When: Sunday 22nd of October, starting 10am.
Where: Middle of Maroubra beach (between South Maroubra & Maroubra)
Teams: 5 per side mixed
Cost: $5
Food: Fruit and Lunch provided.
