Hey everyone
Just a few things I think you all should know and be reminded of.
First up AUC discs. An e-mail was posted on a University email group thing by
Martin Laird. Apparently the has been further kerfuffles with the discs but have
mostly been straightened out and hopefully will be arriving soon. An ETA will be
made ASAP.
Secondly, AUC next year. Martin went on to say that Sydney University has submitted to host AUC next year in conjunction with AUG so there will be bigger parties and hijinx with other sports if successful.
Next up is our AGM. As some may know our AGM is coming up again so I need
people to have serious thoughts about nominating for positions on the Exec. If
you think you have some to offer the club on the
organisational side of things please consider it. Also think of the addition to
your resume or C.V.
Finally thankyou for all those who came to the trivia night. A roaring
success. With a huge amount of prizes and great questions and some creative
thing plus the removal of underwear helped make the evening
fun.
Many thanks must go to Cindy, Kate and Trudi for organising the whole thing.
So I'll see you all after the Olympics

Just a quick message about training. Due to Uni holidays and some sporting event in Sydney over the next 2 weeks, there will be no frisbee for the next 3 weeks. Frisbee is due to resume on Monday, 9th October.
For anyone who is in Newcastle and would like to have a throw, call Andrew on 4924 1425. If there is enough interest, a game will be organised.

Don't forget the Trivia Night this Friday. It's on at 7pm @ The Uni Club (see map). Tickets are $5 for members, or $6 for non-members. Tickets are available from outside Contact this Tuesday and Wednesday, 11am-1pm. I've heard rumours of some pretty good prizes, so make sure you go along, and your friends. If you don't have a table, we can fix that too.

An email from Roger:
Hi Jonno and all Carbon Copy receivers!
Well, I am waiting for 'school' to start so i can check out the frisbee-club
here. I have heard that it is not a very big one, but I am happy when I can
throw the thing again. I am still writing my report, but I am doing it at home,
which means a lot of distraction and so it's not going very fast. The wheather
over here is horrible. Rain..........
Today I saw some people trying to surf on Dutch-waves....VERY pathetic...Over
here you gotta do Windsurfing......
I am going to visit my parents again today (over her that's a bit easier....1h
by train). I haven't seen them since the first weekend I was here...My mum told
me that they knew more about what i was doing when I was in Australia. And she's
right (aren't mums always, one way or the other?)
BTW Have I told you guys already about my drivers license (remember I lost it in
Adelaide)? I got an email from my roommate: It was send from the Hostel in
Adelaide (At the time I called them they said the license wasn't there, but
anywat) to the uni in Adelaide....To the Uni in Newcastle...to my home (where,
ofcourse I didn't live anymore)...So I had my landlord send it
to me in The netherlands and now I got it back!
So I can drive around again on the right side of the road in the wrong side of
the car.
Have fun...say Hi to everybody...
Cheers,
Roger
