After three days and 10 games of competition, the University of Sydney were proclaimed winners of the 2001 Australian University Championship - Ultimate Frisbee.

The final rankings were:

4. Australian National University (ANU)

5. University of Newcastle (NCLE)

7. University of Queensland (UQ)

10. James Cook University (JCU)

11. Macquarie University (MQU)

12. Australian Catholic University (ACU)

In recognition of the number one rule of ultimate frisbee, a prize was awarded to the best spirited team. This year, teams were asked to score their opponents after each game, giving them a score out of 10 for the spirit they displayed in the game. Surprisingly, after 10 games and 100 points, only 2 points separated 1st from 5th.
