After three days and 10 games of competition, the University of Sydney were proclaimed winners of the 2001 Australian University Championship - Ultimate Frisbee.

In recognition of the number one rule of ultimate frisbee, a prize was awarded to the best spirited team. This year, teams were asked to score their opponents after each game, giving them a score out of 10 for the spirit they displayed in the game. Surprisingly, after 10 games and 100 points, only 2 points separated 1st from 5th.
