For the first time, AUC will feature a representative team from New Zealand. Our Kiwi friends have challenged us to a game of frisbee (what else!). So we have called upon the Australian Green & Gold team to serve their country on the battle field. This will be one of the biggest games this year, so make sure you come along to cheer on the Aussies!
When: Wednesday, 11th July,
starting at 5:45pm
Where: Sportsfield #1 (I15 on map below), University of Newcastle
The University Union will be opening the bar for the game. Souvenir shirts and discs will also be available for purchase.
After the game, you can join the AUC teams as the head into the city. We will be meeting at The Brewery, located at Queens Warf (just near Newcastle train station).
How do I get to the University? There are three ways to travel:
Car. You can park at Car Park C10 (H13 on map), right next to the Oval. Use either the Eastern or Wirra Crescent entrances. Parking tickets are not required after 5:30pm.
Bus. Newcastle has a government-run bus service. A 1-hour ticket costs $2.50. Bus routes 100, 103, 226, 227, 228 all stop at the uni. Ask the driver to let you off at the University Design bus stop (L8 on map), and then walk 5 minutes to the field.
Train. Newcastle is also serviced by a government-run train service. The Warabrook (University) station is only 5 minutes walk from the field.
